A blurry four week run...

The month of February was little more than a blur to me.  I literally have not taken a night off from work since the 16th when I went to an Avs game with some friends (we won 5-2!).  So what have I been doing?  Here is a summary of what has preoccupied my thoughts and time:

TEACHING & GRADING...as an instructor, this to be expected.  However, 4 times a semester I have more than my fair share of grading and preps to take care of and this past month was probably the worst I'll see until the end of the semester.

RUMINATE...I am a Reader (non-fiction) for Ruminate Magazine.  I think most of you are aware of this and, if you weren't before, you are now.  It's a quarterly publication meaning four-times a year I have a month of heavy reading assigned to me.  I enjoy serving in this manner, so it's more a time commitment than a burden to endure.

APPLICATIONS...this was the one time commitment over the past month that I really could have done without.  I averaged an application submission once every two days for the month (possibly more; those are the ones I remember applying for).  Factor in time searching out new positions, researching positions I deem realistic or desirable, as well as applying for said positions, and that's a lot of time I could have otherwise spent watching hockey.

I'm anticipating a sharp drop in time commitments this month: reading for Ruminate will end this week and job announcements will begin to trail off by mid-month.  It's always nice when the end to such a season is within sight.
